The Dighton Parks and Recreation Commission will host their upcoming regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Town of Dighton’s North Dighton Ball Field on the corner of Prospect and School Streets.

The agenda for the meeting, which is subject to revision/additions prior to the meeting, is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Pledge of Allegiance
  3. Announcements:
    1. Refreshed sand court and volleyball net
    2. Field Use: BCAH – soccer practice daily through 11/1
    3. DR Youth Lacrosse – Lacrosse clinic Sundays 10:30-12:00 p.m. 9/19 through 10/24
    4. DR Little League – N. Dighton Field – Monday through Friday afternoons/evenings
    5. DR Spartans Basketball – Courts – private workout session on 9/12 at 12:00 p.m.
    6. CPC meeting – 9/23/21 at 7:00 p.m. Upper Level Old Town Hall (zoom)
    7. Use of shed located at the courts
  4. Old Business:
    1. Basketball Court Stripping
    2. MOD Grant
  5. New Business:
    1. Recreational and Sports opportunities through Best Buddies and Special Olympics: Multi Sport Sessions
    2. Pumpkin Painting – discuss dates, time, activities
    3. View and discuss design options, pricing, funding for new N. Dighton Playground
  6. Acknowledgements:
    1. Thank you to the Highway Department for the work rejuvenating the volleyball court
  7. Minutes:
    1. Approve minutes from May 8 , 2021
    2. Approve minutes from June 21, 2021
    3. Approve minutes from July 26, 2021
  8. Public Input
  9. Adjournment
