The Board of Selectmen have called a Special Town Meeting for Monday, October 28, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dighton Middle School. The Warrant can be viewed online here. The Town will consider 30 articles, including proposed by law changes, establishing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Commission, determining if the Board of Selectmen shall change its name to Select Board, and various spending articles. Spending articles range from vehicle purchases for various departments, engineering funds, grant matches, a payment on the Police Station bond out of certified free cash, rather than tax dollars, and more.
