Town Administrator Michael Mullen announces that the Town of Dighton has renewed its Community Electricity Aggregation program through November 2025.

“Dighton’s updated Community Electricity Aggregation (CEA) program rates for the next two years provide the town and its residents with important stability when compared to the volatile and fluctuating National Grid rates we have been seeing, especially during last year’s winter months,” said Town Administrator Michael Mullen. “The CEA program has been a great benefit to our community and we look forward to seeing it continue.”

Those who already participate in the program – the majority of Dighton residents and small businesses – don’t need to do anything to continue their participation.

Most participants in Dighton’s program use “Dighton Standard,” which offers the same renewable energy content as National Grid Basic Service. “Dighton Standard” participants will automatically receive the new program pricing on their December meter read.

Due to requirements from the Department of Public Utilities, participants in the 50% and 100% renewable product must affirmatively re-enroll in a product of their choosing to remain in the program. To re-enroll or change your product selection, call the program’s supplier Constellation at 833-461-0813 or complete an enrollment form at MassCEA.com/Dighton.

The table below shows the new prices for the Dighton CEA program compared to National Grid. These prices will be fixed throughout December 2023-November 2025.

Community members should note that the program cannot guarantee savings beyond the current term of National Grid Basic Service because future National Grid Basic Service rates are unknown.

Good Energy, the consultant to the program, will hold virtual public information sessions to answer any questions and provide more information on Dighton’s Community Electricity Aggregation renewal. These sessions will be held on:

Those interested in joining Dighton’s CEA program must complete the enrollment form on the program website or call Constellation at 833-461-0813. Community members can also visit the program website to review all program options available and to submit any questions via the program contact form.

Since Dighton Community Electricity Aggregation’s launch in 2016, participants have collectively saved more than $3.7 million.

“Since its inception, the Dighton Community Electricity Aggregation program has brought town-vetted electricity options, competitive to those offered by National Grid, to its residents and small businesses, resulting in millions of dollars saved,” Town Administrator Mullen said. “We are extremely pleased that through our renewal of the program, we will guarantee fixed rates for our community members through November 2025.”
