WHAT:

The Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School will host an outreach presentation this coming Monday to discuss the school’s proposed $305 million school building project. At the presentation, community members will have the opportunity to submit feedback and/or questions.

This presentation will provide specific information about the project, the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) and its $125.5 million project funding agreement contingent on Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical receiving local approval, the proposed project schedule and more.

“We encourage our community members to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the specifics of B-P’s $305 million school building project and the financial impact it will have on Dighton taxpayers,” Chairman Pacheco said. “We hope that with this outreach presentation, community members will feel confident in making an informed vote at the upcoming special election scheduled by the School.”

Of the proposed $305 million proposed project, the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has committed $125.5 million to the project through a project funding agreement contingent on Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical receiving local approval. This leaves $180 million in remaining costs that need to be funded by B-P’s member communities.

Dighton’s estimated share is between $21 million to $22 million.

To view the scope of the project in its entirety, visit B-P’s website here.
