Town Administrator Michael Mullen and Development and Industrial Commission Chairman Daniel Higgins announce that the Town of Dighton’s Development and Industrial Commission will host an economic development visioning workshop alongside the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD) next week.

WHAT:
Dighton residents are invited to attend the Development and Industrial Commission and SRPEDD’s first public meeting for the Dighton Economic Development Plan this coming Monday night.
Monday night’s workshop will guide residents through data and information that can shape the future of Dighton’s growth and the preliminary results of the ongoing survey created in partnership with the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce.
The workshop will also provide Dighton residents the opportunity to share their vision for economic development in town through activities and discussions with project staff. Light refreshments will be provided during the workshop.
This workshop is the first of many which will be held as the Plan elements are developed in order for goals to be identified and action items to be outlined. Residents are encouraged to participate in the Town of Dighton’s Economic Development Plan survey. The survey will remain open as the Town’s economic development planning process continues forward. Results will be used to inform the recommendations of the Dighton Economic Development Plan and be presented at future meetings related to the study.
