Chief Robert MacDonald would like to remind residents that the Dighton Police station remains closed to the public as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

The Dighton Police Department continues to respond to all emergencies. However, the department is continuing to limit access to the police station to outside visitors for general, walk-in business until further notice.

Residents are asked to contact the police business line at 508-669-6711 for information or non-emergencies. Residents who would like to make records requests are asked to do so online.

Visitors may enter the vestibule at the station and activate the two-way speaker to communicate with dispatchers, however the lobby is closed until further notice.

All documents and applications can be found and downloaded on the Dighton Police Department’s website. All paperwork may be left on the table in the vestibule where it will be retrieved at a later time.

Medications, especially controlled substances, will not be accepted at this time out of an abundance of caution.

As always, please call 911 for any emergency.

This proactive approach limits the risk of COVID-19 exposure to police personnel and is meant to enhance the practice of social distancing. These temporary measures will be reviewed on a continuous basis. When changes are necessary, they will be communicated to the public.
