Town Administrator Michael Mullen and Public Health Nurse Nicole Mello are pleased to announce that the Town of Dighton, in partnership with Manet Community Health Center, has scheduled an upcoming flu shot clinic for members of the community.

“We’re grateful for the efforts of Manet Community Health Center and Dighton Public Health Nurse Nicole Mello to bring together this important opportunity for our community,” Town Administrator Mullen said. “Flu activity is at its peak in the fall and winter months, and we encourage anyone interested to participate in next weekend’s clinic.”

WHEN:

Saturday, Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon

WHERE:

Old Town Hall, 111 Somerset Ave.

WHAT:

The Town of Dighton, in partnership with Manet Community Health Center, will host a flu shot clinic for community members.

Community members are encouraged to register for an appointment ahead of the clinic. To book an appointment online, click here. Community members may also call the Dighton Board of Health at 774-872-0943 to book an appointment by phone.

The clinic is offered at no cost to Dighton residents. Staff from Manet Community Health Center ask that you bring your insurance information with you if you are insured. Walk-ins may be accepted as vaccine supplies allow.

At the clinic, all residents are encouraged to wear face coverings and they should wear short sleeves to make receiving the shot easier and faster.

The clinic will provide only inactivated, injectable influenza vaccines.
