Dighton Veteran’s Services to Host Veterans Day Ceremony

 The Dighton Board of Selectmen is pleased to invite residents to attend  Dighton Veteran’s Services’  Veterans Day Ceremony tomorrow.

WHEN:

Wednesday, Nov. 11 beginning at 10 a.m.

WHERE:

Veteran’s Memorial Park, 979 Somerset Ave.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Dighton Lions Pavilion, 1111 Somerset Ave.

WHAT:

Residents are invited to attend Dighton’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony and join various town officials, veterans, veterans groups and the general public in honoring local veterans for their service.

The program will include the placing of the wreath of thanks and a salute, as well as a moment of silence. Veteran’s Agent Don Hirschy will be presiding over the ceremony.

In accordance with Gov. Charlie Baker’s orders, face coverings will be required and residents are asked to practice social distancing.

“We invite our residents to join us in paying our respects and honoring those who have bravely and selflessly served this country,” Board of Selectmen Chairman Brett Zografos said.
