Chief Robert MacDonald reports that the Dighton Police Department is investigating a report of a stolen motor vehicle and are seeking the public’s help in locating it.

At approximately 7 p.m. Monday night, a black Ford F-350 utility truck was stolen from North Country Auctions, 1892 County St. The truck features vinyl “O’Hearne Home Development” graphics and bears the Rhode Island commercial registration plate 101388.

Through an initial on-scene investigation, it is believed that the truck was backed through a wooden fence and taken from the south end of the property.

The Dighton Police Department is asking anyone that was at Mutual Gas, Mendoza’s Package Store or in that area during the time and saw or heard anything suspicious to contact the police department immediately.

“We are encouraging anyone who may have been in this area last night to contact the Dighton Police Department,” Chief MacDonald said. “There is a great possibility someone in that area might have noticed something out of the ordinary. Any information they can provide could potentially result in us locating the stolen vehicle. As always, the public’s help is greatly appreciated.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Det. Ryan Richards at rrichards@dighton-ma.gov or 508-669-6711.
