Dighton Residents Invited to Attend Upcoming Taste of Dighton Event

DIGHTON — The Friends of the Dighton Public Library is pleased to share that the annual Taste of Dighton event is just a few weeks away.

WHEN:

Monday, Sept. 16, from 5-7 p.m.

WHERE:

The Dighton Lions Club Pavilion, 1111 Somerset Ave., behind Town Hall.

WHAT:

The Friends of the Dighton Public Library hosts the Taste of Dighton each year to allow attendees to taste samples from local restaurants and culinary professionals.

The event is family friendly. Tickets are $10 for 20 tickets and will be sold at the door. Tickets are used to sample food at each of the vendor tables.

Recently added to the list of attending vendors is Sweet as Pie, of Somerset, and 1712 Restaurant and Tavern, of Dighton.

The following vendors will also be in attendance:

  • Vino’s Family Cafe, Rehoboth
  • Alice’s Last Stop, Dighton
  • Araujo Farms, Dighton
  • Dough Licious Pizza, Berkley
  • Dighton Lions Club, Dighton
  • Under the Sun, Dighton
  • Sweet as Pie, Somerset
  • 1712 Restaurant and Tavern, Dighton

Attendees may also purchase tickets for a gift basket raffle. The drawing will be called at 6:30 p.m. and you do not need to be present to win.

The event proceeds will benefit the Dighton Public Library.

“The Taste of Dighton is one of the many great events that is held in Dighton each year,” Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein said. “We look forward to showcasing local businesses and benefiting a great cause in the public library.”
